We are looking for an experienced freelancer with hands-on expertise in Siemens Opcenter Execution (Camstar) to support a real-time shopfloor validation use case.

Requirement Overview

We need to implement a validation mechanism in Siemens Opcenter where:

  • On MoveIn at a specific operation
  • For selected product models
  • System should call an external REST API
  • Based on API response → allow or block the transaction (GO / NO-GO)

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop C# Service Extensions in Opcenter
  • Integrate external REST APIs for real-time validation
  • Implement logic in PreExecute (MoveIn service)
  • Handle error scenarios (API failure, timeout, invalid response)
  • Ensure performance optimization for shopfloor usage
  • Add logging and debugging support

Required Skills

  • Strong experience in Siemens Opcenter Execution / Camstar
  • Hands-on with Modeling & Scripting
  • Experience in C# (.NET Framework) development
  • Good understanding of Opcenter object model (Container, Product, Operation)
  • Experience with REST API integration
  • SQL knowledge (for user queries, if needed)

Good to Have

  • Experience in high-volume manufacturing environments (EMS, Automotive, etc.)
  • Knowledge of MES transaction lifecycle (MoveIn, MoveOut, Start, Complete)
  • Performance tuning in MES systems
